Hi and welcome my name is Judy I am the founder of New Hope Counselling Services, my experience in early childhood, school environments, counselling, parenting consultancy, and also pastoral mentoring led me to opening the company back in 2002.
My passion is for community well-being and helping people develop life skills that build towards reaching their full potential, along with the other services there are various courses and workshops held throughout the year.

I am also registered with MSD, Oranga Tamariki, and a full member of NZCCA.
Office hours are
Monday- Friday 9.00 am - 7.30pm (last appointment starts at 6.00pm)
Saturday 1st & 3rd 9.30am -12.30pm
Term 2 Workshops
Parenting Tips Workshop
These are interactive workshops and over the 6 weeks we will cover:

What does parenting look like, and mean in this current age?

Blended families- covers the need to know information for the best outcome together.

Communication- how to be effective and heard, understanding the importance of being valued, also exploring what self-esteem is all about, conflict resolution, expectations and establishing boundaries.

Family Values- covers family systems, patterns of behaviour, leaving a legacy

Other topics may be included, dependant on the needs within the group

May 14, 21, 28 – June 4, 11, 18
7.00pm – 8.30pm. (Wednesday Evenings)
Location: Waiuku
Cost: Donations are gratefully received as they help go towards workshop resources
Self - Esteem Workshops
These are interactive workshops and over the 5 weeks we will cover:

Communication – learning skills on how to be effective and be heard

Learning skills around boundaries, where and how they can look
-
Understanding the importance of being valued, what self-esteem is all about, the value of acceptance, belonging and sense of worth.

Other topics may be included, dependant on attendees needs.

May 16, 23, 30 – June 6, 13
10.00am – 12.00pm (Friday Mornings)

Saturday workshops 2 Sessions (topics are the same as the 5 week workshop)

Time:9.30am – 2.30pm ( participants to bring their own lunch)

Registration is essential to allow for materials and refreshments

These workshops are not suitable for children to attend, please arrange for a babysitter.

Hope and faith are just two of the components required to build trust and see that it is possible to make changes. When the hope of dream or vision of the future has been removed, the perception that nothing can change, changes thought's, emotion's and behaviour's. By facilitating in the process of change perceptions are revealed and understood, and that what seemed impossible is seen from a different view.
